Learn to be frugal....

I love to feel like I am getting a deal. My husband will make fun of me for buying something and justifying my purchase with the fact that it was on sale. Though I normally won't buy something just because it is on sale...I buy it when I want it AND it's on sale. :)
So, I love to be frugal and use coupons and research purchases before I buy them. I always, or at least mostly always :) research before I buy anything. I usually find it cheaper somewhere else and then feel good about my purchase. So when someone tells me about a new place to find deals or freebies or coupons, I get excited because in a weird way, it justifies my obsessive shopping habit. :)

Here are a couple ideas of free stuff and ways to save that maybe you were unaware of...

I belong to a coupon club on facebook (excellent idea, if you want to start one for your community) where a girl posted recently about Target having their free beauty bag sample. Since I love free, I went right to the site and signed up. I received my beauty bag a few weeks later and now I am constantly going back to Target's website waiting for more freebies! :)
Inside this cute little makeup bag were a ton of free samples and a bunch of coupons. (Two of my favorite things) I normally buy salon shampoo and conditioner. I tried the new John Frieda Full Repair shampoo and conditioner sample and instantly fell in love. It smells awesome! I have to straighten my hair every time I wash it so, I liked the idea of something meant to repair over-worked hair. It made my hair silky, shiny and it smelled great. I was very excited on this new product find.

(These are packs of 3 each. You can get just one of each, the link wasn't working so I had to use the 3 pack link)

You too can become obsessed by checking with Targets website on when they will have more free samples at this website:
http://samples.target.com/

My second must check out site is http://www.retailmenot.com/ I have been using this site forever and it never disappoints me. I do a ton of online shopping. I have 2 boys who don't like to shop with me. :( So, instead of making them suffer, I just sit at my computer and shop, stress free! I rarely ever pay a shipping fee and a lot of times, I won't buy it unless I get some sort of discount. Retail me not's website has had a coupon code for me nearly every time I have went there to shop. It is definitely somewhere to go to check if there are any coupon codes if you are planning an online purchase.

Always, always google your item before you buy it. I was going through catalogs today buying my kids Christmas presents and found an item from a catalog on amazon's website for $25 cheaper.

My last frugal tip of the day is to print coupons from http://thekrazycouponlady.com/.
This website is awesome for print coupons. They have it so organized! It is so easy to go on and print the coupons of the products you buy all the time. I love this site. I am so happy for my coupon club for turning me on to all these thrifty ways to save money. Thanks ladies!
